Agia Varvara - Ezousa 12KM Circular

I think this walk would have been better at a different time of the year. The terrain was quite dry, in the winter I think the views would have been better.
Varvara is just off the A6 near Mandria. We met near the church and there was plenty of parking. the village was quiet and we headed up hill on a tarmac road out of the village. Later crossing the E606 and heading off into the hills past a solar farm. The route wasn't particularly difficult but then got steeper as we walked back up to the E606 past some goat herds,
We then followed the E606 down hill a 100 metres or so before heading off on to a track on the right. It was disappointing to see all the dumped litter in this area. walking past it and heading up hill we then headed right following the contours and then left down a good track to the E4, which followed the bottom of the valley back to the village. This section was greener, pretty flat though a bit wet in places. All in all it was a nice walk except for the rubbish
