Route Map, Description & Photo's
This was a nice walk, good for foraging grapes and almonds, though a bit more difficult than expected. The climb from the valley bottom up to the road leading back to Drymou was quite difficult in the heat. It was around 28C.
We started at the church and followed the track down and left past the horses and then up to the road we would later follow into the village. Heading off to the right there were nice views and almond trees, though they were a regular feature most of the way through the walk. After a short while we diverted left on to a track and left the road. The route was generally down hill for about 3.2 km. At 3.3KM there was a right turning I missed and had to back track to find it. The turning was bordered by bamboo and looked like the entrance to a field, which in fact it was, the route hugged the left side of the field before turning into a proper track again. We had a steady climb which then levelled out a bit before a steady descent. Once at the bottom of the ravine we crossed and started the steep ascent on the other side which eventually brought us the road, turning right we headed up to the village. The last section was quite easy.
